Frontier Airlines announced today that they will begin daily non-stop service from their Denver hub to both Louisville (April 19, 2010) and New Orleans (June 15, 2010). This may be a good step for the DEN-SDF route, where Frontier may be the only non-stop player in the market. However, they will find themselves competing with Southwest and United on the DEN-MSY route. Granted, there may be room for another airline to slip into the route, so it may end up working well for Frontier.
Also announced was the start of seasonal non-stop service from Oklahoma City to Orlando (starting January 15, 2010) and Tampa (January 17, 2010). Southwest is the only competition on these two routes, but does not have a non-stop flight.
