Frontier-Midwest Codeshare Expands

Frontier Airlines announced today that it will be expanding its codeshare agreement with Midwest Airlines, which will allow it to sell tickets on all Midwest flights (except Kansas City routes) using a Frontier flight number, effective for all travel after December 13th. Similarly, Midwest will be able to sell tickets for all domestic Frontier flights (except Kansas City routes) using a Midwest flight number.

The expansion of the code share agreement makes a great deal of sense, since both airlines are wholly owned subsidiaries of Republic Airways, and it will allow them to operate in a more tightly knit fashion. It should not be long before the Kansas City routes for both carriers are included, as well as Frontier’s international flights.
